Meet Nicole
creative director, lead planner and experience designer
My work began with a simple instinct: to gather people in beautiful, meaningful ways. Whether at home or outdoors, I was always drawn to creating environments where people felt connected, present, and inspired.
That instinct became Santa Barbara Picnic Company: a brand built on elevated, intimate experiences that quickly grew from a solo concept into a full creative team, earning national recognition and features across leading lifestyle and wedding publications. Through that work, I learned something essential: people don’t just want beautiful settings; they want experiences that feel intentional, personal, and emotionally resonant.
Nicole Leza Planning & Design was born from that understanding.
Today, my work centers on designing celebrations as immersive worlds; where atmosphere, story, and aesthetic come together to form a cohesive experience. I don’t believe in templates, formulas, or trends for trend’s sake. I believe in designing from identity, emotion, and intention.
Each project is a collaboration- grounded in presence, trust, and creative alignment. My role is to translate your story into an experience that feels natural, refined, and unmistakably yours.
